Today marks the Pansexual Pride Day, celebrating the pansexual community!
Pansexuality means attraction to people of all genders. This day recognizes the diversity within the LGBTQ+ community and brings visibility to pansexual people, who are often overlooked. It’s a chance for pansexual folks to come together in solidarity while educating others. By wearing pink, yellow and blue, attending film screenings, panels, and workshops, we can raise awareness of pansexual experiences and rights while fostering inclusivity. Although the origins are unclear, Pansexual Pride Day first started to increase representation. It represents accepting all gender identities and orientations. No one should face judgement or discrimination because of who they love.
The LGBTQ+ community has come so far, but still has far to go for total equality and embrace of all. Together, let’s continue the legacy of promoting compassion on this day and every day. Pansexual Pride Day promotes visibility, unity, justice and pride!
