Youth Voices Count (YVC) Opens Call For Membership Applications

Exciting news! YVC is thrilled to announce that we are now opening our doors to organizations who want to count their voices with us!

We are reaching out to our current pool of gender advocates to confirm their continual enthusiasm in their involvement and keeping up-to-date with YVC projects as well as inviting organizations to be a part of our growing network!

As a regional network dedicated to amplifying the voices of young people across the Asia-Pacific region, YVC welcomes individuals of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions to join our community. This is your opportunity to be a part of a passionate network driving positive change in the region. Come and count your voices with us!

Applicants may choose between the two classifications:

๐Ÿ) ๐Ž๐ซ๐ ๐š๐ง๐ข๐ณ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ

๐€๐ง๐ฒ ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐š๐ง๐ข๐ณ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ก ๐„๐—๐ˆ๐’๐“๐ˆ๐๐† ๐š๐ง๐ ๐€๐’๐๐ˆ๐‘๐ˆ๐๐† ๐๐„๐– ๐Œ๐„๐Œ๐๐„๐‘๐’ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐˜๐•๐‚, who have been working towards the advancement of SOGIESC, Human rights, SRHR, youth empowerment and other advocacies aligned with YVC from the Asia and Pacific region may formally become organizational members of this Organization.

๐Ž๐๐‹๐˜ ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐„๐—๐ˆ๐’๐“๐ˆ๐๐† ๐Œ๐„๐Œ๐๐„๐‘๐’ (under the age of 35) or ๐€๐‹๐”๐Œ๐๐ˆ (35 years old and above) who have already been a part of the YVC membership but still wish to continue their membership.

ย  ย  ย Bloom finished their Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Auckland with Second Class/First Division Honors, and their Masters in Education in Adult Learning and Community Development at the University of Toronto. They successfully launched Asia’s first application for queer gig workers, successfully advocated for the inclusion of queer migrant workers for Vertie Southeast Asia’s study about the situation of migrant workers in Thailand during pandemics, and successfully helped Non-binary Thailand partner with queer CSOs overseas especially in the South East Asia region. Currently, they are the consultant of ASEAN SOGIE Caucus, and the Head of the IR Unit for Non-binary Thailand.

ย  ย  They take pride in being a neurodiverse non-binary/trans activist based in Thailand who has been involved in activism and international development for almost five years.

ย  ย  ย  Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo holds a doctorate degree in Education major in Educational Management and is currently an Associate Professor of Capiz State University-Roxas City Main Campus, Roxas City, Capiz. He is the co-adviser of United Colors of CapSU Roxas City Main Campus (UCC) which its organizationโ€™s advocacy is for the empowerment and capacitating the LGBTQIA+ studentsโ€™ right, health programs and other organized activities to have a voice in the University. Presently, he holds the position as the Coordinator of the Student Organization and Activities of the campus.

ย  ย  ย  He was recognized as the Outstanding Coach/Adviser of the Student Organization and received an award in Research and Extension of the University of Capiz State University, Roxas City Main Campus.
