We unite in the gentle glow of candlelight to remember those lost to HIV/AIDS and support those living with it. This solemn observance fosters community strength, highlights the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS, and renews our commitment to end stigma. Together, we reflect, remember, and rally for a future of hope, health, and equality. It’s a moment to honor the past, cherish the present, and work towards an AIDS-free tomorrow. Let’s keep the flame of awareness burning bright, and continue to light the path towards understanding and acceptance for all.
Last May 20, 2024, an event for International AIDS Candlelight Memorial was hosted by FPOP Iloilo, The Raja and Diwata sang Iloilo, Provincial Health Office, in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Iloilo, Love Yourself, Champion Community Center, Protects, and PSFI, HAKUS of WVSU. Advocating for HIV and AIDS awareness is not merely a moral obligation but a pragmatic approach to a global health challenge. It is an endeavor that requires the participation of all sectors of society. As we continue to advance in our understanding and treatment of HIV, let us not forget the power of advocacy in shaping a world where HIV and AIDS no longer pose a threat to humanity’s future.
